A Rash Decision

Baby has cradle cap, it's a type of rash. Cue the sympathetic awwws.

Actually its a lot better now. He doesn't have it on his scalp at all anymore, thanks to the tea tree oil that our doc gave us. But the rash moved down to his face, his handsome, adorable little face, and for a while there it was bad. But again, thanks to the tea tree oil, his face is all better now. But now the rash moved down to his neck. So let's hope the tea tree oil works its magic yet again.

Heat seems to exacerbate (yup, exacerbate, the latest addition to my expanding clinical vocabulary repertoire, courtesy of greys anatomy!) his rash, so this hot hot weather doesn't help him much, which gives us a great excuse to only venture to places powered by AC!

I must admit that ever since we found out I was preggo, I've been a medical and baby development research fiend! Thank goodness for Google! In fact, I pride myself on making several self diagnoses that have indeed impressed my own docs! Well, ok, those who know me well, know that I'm a bit of a hypochondriac. Ok fine, I'm a total hypochondriac. In fact, my family and friends laugh at me, because I go to the doctors so often that the nurses and the receptionists know me by name! I'd like to think it's because I'm such a fun and charming person - but others would argue its simply because I visit there too often. Regardless, my doc offices, all of them, general practice, and my OBGYN, and even dental, it's like Cheers, everybody knows my name...and they're always glad I came... Ok I will stop now. STAT!

And ever since we gave birth, I've developed a newfound respect and admiration for doctors and nurses. They are awesome, awesome people! I cannot imagine the pressures of their profession, or how they are even able to balance it with any sort of personal life. Kudos to them!

So in short, baby's rash is getting better.

I once wanted to become a doctor. But when it came time in college to choose between scheduling a biology class and an art class. Well, we all know what I chose.

It was a rash decision.
