Wait Listed

Hoping for a really good, reputable daycare establishment in the Burbank area?

Well if you are planning to start a family and have your baby in about 2-3 years from now, then you are good to go and all set. However, if you are like me, and have a 2 1/2 month old and looking around now, you're too late...very late.

I mean what was I thinking really? I should've gotten myself on these daycare waiting lists 3 years ago while I only had travel, career, restaurants, and the latest pair of citizens of humanity jeans on my mind, right? I should've predicted and planned the conception and birth of our son around daycare wait lists, right?

WRONG! What is happening here? So I happen to work for the big mouse, and I hear great, amazing things about their daycare, and whattayaknow, it's a 3 year waiting list. So when baby is just about ready to go to prom, we can finally get into the Disney Daycare Program.

So I'm touring around the daycares now, in hopes of having a place locked down for baby to attend at around his 9 month - 1 year mark. And while I'm in these tours, I'm actually one of the few who HAVE given birth already. Most of the women touring still have their baby in utero! Though I did have the ever so pleasant experience of a woman asking me when I was due...(Why I oughtta $%#!*...)

So I'm on the waiting lists now, and on average I'm looking at a year's wait, with no guarantees.

Moral of the story? If you plan on daycare, and are planning to meet your soulmate, get married, conceive and deliver around 3 years from now? You're in a good spot. Get on the lists now.

Otherwise, I'll see you at prom!
