Photo Finish

Ok, so before I really didn't understand the reason why parents are so inclined to share photos of their kids, babies in particular. I mean, it takes a while anyways for a baby to grow into their face, so those early pictures, they all looked the same to me. Fine, some were indeed cute, but overall, I couldn't grasp the inclination to inundate everyone with what seemed to be more like frame by frame animated stills.

...As I said, that was BEFORE.

NOW, bring it on! Oh how much joy do I find in taking a photo of every second of every day of my little one! I would send it all out to you if I thought you all would still talk to me afterwards. And, now I get it! I mean every pose, every smile, every semi-smile, every yawn, every new outfit, every sleeping pose...it's all different and worth capturing! I see it now! AND I share it now haha! The hubby questions why I would send out five photos from the same shoot, he claims they all look the same and will bore the viewers. But really, come on now, in this one, his smile is bigger and happier, and in this one his smile is more subdued, and in this one - he has a look of mischief, in this one his finger is up, and in this one his bangs moved, oh I could go on and on...

And I'm a more curious, receptive and inquisitive viewer. I enjoy seeing other baby pictures now. I guess cause now I am looking with a new set of eyes, a mom's eyes! I appreciate the development and the growth being captured. I can relate to the pride behind the camera.

So to all the other proud mommies and daddies out there, keep clicking away, keep capturing and continue sharing!

And to all the non-mommies and daddies out there, please be patient with us. One day, you'll be us, and you'll appreciate having friends and family to share it all with. Just humor us for now.

And finally, to everyone...It's baby's 2 month birthday this Friday, so expect another chapter to be shared.
