Sweet Pea

Drumroll please...

Baby is now eating solids! Yup just last week, baby had his 4 month doctor's appointment, where he registered in at a whopping 16 lbs! And has grown to 25 inches now! He's a happy, healthy and big baby! We know where he got the happy and healthy from, but we're still trying to figure out where he got the big from?

He got 4 more vaccination shots, which were pure torture for mommy. But one of the highlights of our visit was the doc's thumbs up to introduce mr. baby to solid foods now! Yay! The hubby and I have been anxiously awaiting this momentous milestone!

Even funnier is the fact that most babies start off with the "Rice Cereal" first. It's a porridge-like cereal that is a great and easy starting point in the world of solid foods. So the hubby and I thought that would be baby's first solid meal. Nope! The doc said since baby seems to be a big eater and more than ready to take on solids, he recommended that we bypass the initial rice cereal stage and move on to the big boys --- strained veggies!

So baby enjoyed his first taste of sweet peas and boy does he love em! He knew exactly what to do too! We read that some babies may not know what to do when solid foods are fed to them since they have grown accustomed to nursing and bottle feeding. Not our baby! Once he saw the lil spoon coming, he opened wide and IN the peas went!

Now how the peas came OUT is a whole other story!
